Because I’m an unconventional weido- let’s work our way backwards through the weekend.

Last night was Red Carpet Crash’s “Dallas Big Gold Statue Watching Party,” and it was so good to see some of the local blogger gals there. Shine, Natalie, and Sketch all looked absolutely gorgeous in their fancy dresses. I basically wanted to lick all of their faces. I was also so happy that  Moops and Shae-Shae made an appearance. I worked the VIP table most of the night, and besides the fact that I made the mistake of wearing 5 inch heels, I had the time of my life.

I cried about a million times during the show and not because most of my favorites didn’t win, I think that all the winners were quite deserving. That being said, Jeff Bridges- fuck .yeah. You rock my world, sir. He does. I dunno what exactly it is about him, but he warms my soul.

You will all be quite happy, or if not happy- completely dumbfounded to know that I actually got quite a bit of unpacking done on Friday night. Actually I stayed up until 5am in the morning with the scary ghosts organizing my closet.  Woohoo yay me. I still haven’t hung up anything on the walls or made any sort of attempt to detangle my jewlery, but I still feel pretty proud of myself.

Friday night I did some karaoke and probably scared a million people away, nuff said…

I think not, my friend. But I’m not here to complain. All is good in the life of me. Really great actually. I cannot stop smiling.

WHAT? No complaints about my roommates? No bitching about having nothing to wear? No rants about how I wore my thong the wrong way for 8 hours???

Not only is it pay-day Friday and I have a really fun weekend ahead of me, but Goshdarnit! I just found out some people like me!!

I got two awards this week and I’m so frickin excited!

The first is the Kreativ Blogger award from Amber over at  Musings of Amber Murphy! Thank you friend! If you don’t currently frequent her blog, you must check it! She’s funny, extremely genuine, writes way better poetry than I ever could, (she writes way better than I do, period) and most importantly…she once wrote a letter to Tiffany Amber-Theissen.

HillbillyDuhn from Hillbilly Duhn’s Times and Tribulations… Because this girl never fails to crack my shit up. Oh, and also she was brave enough to post the best TMI I have ever read. Ever.

Ryan from 365 Days of People… For being the most hilarious hater on the internet. Seriously, there is rarely a time when he posts something that I don’t agree with. I just hope this award doesn’t prompt a “people who give out gay-ass blog awards” post. Or do it. I’ll laugh.

The second award is the Honest Scrap Award bestowed to me from That Kind of Girl from Not that Kind of Girl. Oh my gosh people. I cannot express in words how much I love this girl and am honored that she reads! She is frickin hilarious, inspiring, (my friends and I now play a NTKOG game where we dare ourselves to do things we normally wouldn’t) and has huge fricking pair of boobs. And by boobs, I mean girl balls. I also blame her for infiltrating “dude” back into my daily vocabulary.

For this award, I’m supposed to tell you 10 super personal things that no one else knows. NTKOG decided to put her own spin on it and reveal 10 things that she has learned about herself in the last 10 days. I’m going to attempt a mix of the 2.

Five things you don’t know about me (unless your a stalker):

1. I’m a huge freak. Meaning? I have a dimple thingy at the top of my butt crack. It’s not as weird as it sounds…  It’s like a little hole that doesn’t go anywhere… I’ve met one other person that has one. Let me know if you do too. We can start a club or something.

2. I had an eating disorder in my early twenties. I am really happy that I have been able to lose weight the right way this time, but sometimes it scares me when I get a little obsessive about it. I know I wouldn’t ever go down that path again, and it feels really good to get this out there- but still… I think about that place that I once was in, and it is terrifying.

3. I am horrible with anything that has to do with numbers. I still have to look on facebook to find out my best friend’s birthdays. The only phone number I have memorized is my parent’s. I use my fingers to do multiplication.

4. My bellybutton hole smells, at least to me. I clean it, but I think it still has a funk.

5. I may or may not have just spent the last 45 minutes trying to give myself a Brazilian wax. I may or may not have learned that this is something that you should not attempt at home. (this probably should have gone in the next list.)

Five things I learned in the last 10 days:

1. I really really really hate the time change. Mostly because I forgot how difficult of a time I have driving at night.

2. I am kind of a loser. There are some days when I have the opportunity to go out and be around people, but I would rather sit at home and watch t.v.

3. I need to learn to stop hiding behind my weight. I got so used to using my weight as my excuse not to do things… not to put myself out there dating wise, not to try new things, not to have confidence. I  I still find myself making these excuses.

4. I still have no idea what I want to do with my life. I have had several discussions with my friends about this lately, and it just fucks with my head even more. I have been consciously putting it out of my mind for the last 4 years, and it’s time to deal.

5. I shouldn’t do things (like go stair surfing) when I don’t have health insurance.

2. Phronk …  A fellow film lover who also doesn’t  fart. And I don’t love farts so I kind of love him. Plus he has this other badass site Putting Weird Things in Coffee, where he does just that. I may have read the whole thing.

3. M from Only one Way Down… She’s funny, honest, and when she gets on a rant – I kind of just want to raise my fist and yell “oh hells yeah!” Plus she’s a fellow Dallasite, and it’s good to know there are other good people from the area.

4. Candice from That’s Tangly… I have mad love for this girl! Seriously, if I don’t get to party with her before I die, it will be a major loss on my behalf. Plus she is doing great things with her life right now.. CHECK IT OUT!

5. Kathryn from From The Inside… Out… I didn’t know mom’s could be this funny.  Or that I could relate to one so much. Funny. ass. shiz.

6. Matt from A Crown of Thistles… By far the smartest/funniest/best storyteller/knows freaking latin-est person that I have met on the internets. I literally leave his site with my mouth hung open in awe. And not in the dirty way.

7. F.B. From The Change I Wish to See… I recently started following this guy, and I have gone back to read his entire history. And I laughed a lot. Plus he is an amazing writer, and did I mention he loves It’s Always Sunny??

8. One Step to Recovery… Love this girl! I can almost always relate, and she tells it like it is. She just had surgery yesterday and girl, I hope you are feeling better soon!

9. Kirsten from Belly Shirts…. I laugh my ass off at her daily, and because she single handedly started the swine flu epidemic.

10. Lilu at Liveitluvit… I couldn’t leave her out! I probably wouldn’t have found any of you good people if it weren’t for her site, and I FUCKING love the TMIs.

I have seriously come across so many blogs that I love in the last couple months. I love you all!

Moving on to the Fuck my Life portion. This is why I haven’t been able to walk this entire week… (NEVER STAIR SURF UNLESS YOU WANT TO FEEL MAJOR PAIN!!!)

Because it is a truly momentous occasion.

Not only did I actually go to through the entire day without breaking anything, with the exception of a picture frame in my car and 2 coat hangers….

It’s true!!! I got my first blog award from Candice over at That’s Tangly. Which means a ton to me considering her blog is one of my absolute favorites and she is hilarious to boot…but it means even more to me now that I know she likes me back!! Thank you, Thank you, thank you!!!

But seriously, if you haven’t stopped by That’s Tangly, you need to, right now. She hails from the mysterious island (or mysterious to me because I have never been anywhere and know nothing about geography) of New Foundland, an aspiring travel writer, whose posts are often funny, often beautiful, and always entertaining.

My first duty is to hand out this award to 3 other bloggers who I find Kreativ and such. Feel free to pass it over- I know some of you have been blogging forever and probably have thousands of awards tucked away in your closets, but I am just getting started and really admire what you guys do! I know I only recently started following you, but I  have no idea how I went this long without reading about your lives! And don’t think me a stalker, but I’ve gone back and read lots of your archives, so I feel like I’m really starting to know you. And now that I’ve got my creepy mccreeperson moment out of the way….

Belle & Nel – These girls both write hilarious yet extremely honest posts. I am constantly looking forward to reading their posts, and I am constantly checking their site. I love how they play off each other, and they make me want to start a blog with my best friend. And also be theirs!

Blogs are for losers- Sherri is one of the pee in your panties funny/amazingly strong/makes ya think bloggers I’ve ever come across. After I read her posts I laugh my ass off, then I sit back and ponder how profound that just was. Her blog kind of makes me feel like I do when I’m watching a Scrubs episode… and trust me, that’s a good thing.

Lost in thought -  I only recently came across Meg’s blog, but I can already tell I’m gonna be a long time follower. She is so sincere, very funny, and she really likes puppy dogs- which automatically makes her a winner in my book.

So check them out! Now! But wait… I’m supposed to complete duty number 2, which is to name 7 facts about myself. A couple days ago I named 100 things about myself so I’m pretty sure you don’t want to know anything else… Too bad for you! Or just go ahead and check out the blogs mentioned above!

1. When I was young, I really wanted to be an actress. I even begged my mom to take me to Hollywood. I threw a few massive fits when she said it wasn’t going to happen.

2. Free Willy was the reason I wanted to be an actress. I don’t know why, but after I saw that movie I was bound and determined.

3. I once talked to Willy Nelson for nearly an hour in a vintage shop. We tried on scarfs together and talked politics. He even rubbed his butt against mine.

4. I didn’t even know it was Willy Nelson until he left and the guy who worked there offered me a signed cd.

5. When I was in Jr. High I went through a phase where I was severely obsessed with the sixties. I wore mostly all vintage clothes, listened to the Beatles, and decorated my room with black light posters.

6. A few months ago I made out with Joshua Radin’s drummer after a show. This is actually really lame,  and he probably doesn’t even remember,but I feel like it brought me closer to Josh Radin… who is one of my favorite people on the planet.

7. I have the worst sense of direction on the planet. I can’t read a map, and I can never remember how to get anywhere. I am also not very observant, and even if I’ve been to your house a hundred times, there’s a good chance I’ll ask you to come outside to help me with something. I’m really just making sure I’m at the correct house.
