TGIF-Sick and Tired of it

tgif copy

Happy Friday everyone!

My brain is still a little slow and recovering from being death-sick this week, but I’m on the mend. Still, I only have the energy for an abbreviated version of my usual TGIF post.

I’m really terrible at being sick. Not only that, but I know that I can be a huge pain in the butt to the people who love me the most. I’ve really been trying to limit my complaints but I don’t think that I necessarily succeeded. I have been plagued with both a lung infection as well as some major stomach issues this week, and the combination has made me a miserable person to be around.

Add to that a touch of hypochondria-and if you were around me-you would want to commit me.

The good news is that I did make it to the doctor, and felt much better (at least mentally) after the fact. I’ve got some antiobiotics, some steroids, and some really strong cough medicine flowing through me so whatever I have will hopefully die a miserable death in the very near future.

My sister!

I know you’re probably getting tired of hearing about it, but I’m still so happy that my little sister is home from Australia. She’s been staying with me all week and has been so helpful both as a member of our household, and to my mental state. I forgot how amazing it is to sit with my sister and discuss the nitty gritty details of life, our hopes and our complaints. I really am lucky to have a sister who is also my absolute best friend. It amazes me that we can be so different, yet understand each other so well.

“I AM”

I don’t really have much to report here this week. I haven’t started any new books, tv shows or hobbies. I’m really refraining from repeating myself that I’m just feeling terrible. So I won’t do that.

I did watch the Nicholas Cage version of “Left Behind” this week. I should probably write a whole post on that, but I’ll just say it was every bit as terrible as I was hoping it would be. And more.

I won’t give you a whole review, but I will say this. I read all the Left Behind books long ago when I was going through a world apocalypse phase. I found them entertaining for what they were, but I wouldn’t say that they were incredible works of fiction. I’ve also seen the Kirk Cameron version of the mini-series, and like the books-I found them cheesy and poorly written, but that’s never kept me from enjoying anything.

When I heard that Nick Cage was doing the remake, I couldn’t resist. I couldn’t trick anyone into watching it with me, but that was fine by me too. Horrible Nick Cage movies are meant to be enjoyed alone.

What I watched, might surpass The Wicker Man as my favorite horrible Nick Cage movie. Please don’t take this as an insult to Mr. Cage. I hope he never changes. I will watch every movie he puts out until I die, mostly because I read somewhere that it’s really good for your eyeballs to roll them.

F@ck It.

Do I even have to say it?

This illness is for the birds.

I hope you all have a happy and healthy weekend! I’m not planning on doing much except for taking a commercial audition workshop, which should be a learning experience! Until Monday, folks.

Hehehe, I love that you’re a bad-acting-by-Nicolas-Cage fan! I read the first Left Behind book and it did nothing for me except freak me out about airplanes. Lol. Glad you’re feeling better!

I am just not a Nicolas Cage fan at all. I even get to rent movies for free when they come out and I always, ALWAYS pass up his movies.
