I heart the internets

OK wow. This is going to be more difficult than I thought.

I know that sounded like I am about to announce something huge.  Well I’m not. Unless you are interested in the fact that my forehead and my chin have simultaneously decided to rage war on my confidence in the form of pimples. Awesome. I look like I’m 11 and back in my awkward stage.

The reason this post is so difficult is because I literally drank enough this weekend to satisfy an entire army of thirsty pirates (there was probably a better way to put that) and I’m pretty sure I lost about a third of my brain cells. I’m really hoping those will grow back because I’m having a difficult time forming complete sentences.  I mean… I looked at a thingy for about ten minutes and I still don’t know what to call it. I did have a super fun weekend, full of lots of dancing and debauchery and laughs… and I’m sure I did more than I few things that I should be regretting, but luckily cannot remember them.

Anybooze, I am writing this on Monday night after completely avoiding all of you today. Seriously. This is the first weekday in about three months that I haven’t spent at least a few hours reading blogs. Me thinks I’ve got a lot of catching up to do.

Since I was completely brain dead this morning and finally decided not to write about how awkward it would be to be a fly on the wall in a room witnessing dry humping (a very strange conversation I got into this weekend), I decided not to post today (now yesterday.) Instead I chose to ignore the blog world entirely and to spend the day reading the other parts of the internet that I have been ignoring the last 3 months. This meant hours upon hours of catching up on youtube subscriptions, watching trailers on IMDB , and reading every article featured  on popurls. And since I’m still semi-stupid, I figure I will share with you some of the highlights…

Someone posted the following video on twitter, and although I cannot remember who it was- I want to give them a big giant hug right now. I seriously watched this at least 18 times today and I have almost completely memorized the dance. Umm… how awesome are those facial expressions?

Another highlight is from one of my favorite internet sensations, Brental Floss who is someone I kind of actually know in person. Or… I at least met him once. He is best friends with one of my comedy friends ( Holla what MV!!!!) , and back when we were doing a radio show he came on and totally punked me on air. He is one of the funniest people ever, and is all kinds of musically talented. If you have even a tiny bit of love for video games, or music, or comedy… or even if you don’t- you definitely need to check him out. I had a lot of catching up to do, but my favorite (because Zelda holds a giant place in my heart) is part of his “With Lyrics” series, Zelda With Lyrics…

Oh and here is another one about Toad being gay. I just showed my roommates and even they loved it.

And while we’re on the subject, I cannot wait to see Jim Carrey and Ewan McGregor’s new gay movie- “I love you Phillip Morris.”

And holy shit. Toby Maguire, Natalie Portman, and Jake Gyllenhall??? I starting bawling just watching this intense preview!

I can’t believe that I somehow let a few Jon Lajoie videos go posted without my taking notice. And by the by, if you haven’t watched The League (that show that comes on after It’s Always Sunny In Philadelhia,) featuring Jon, then you definitely need to check it out!

I had a few more links that I wanted to share, but it seems the ambien God’s have taken flight and this post could start to get really ridiculous. Plus I really need the sleep. I promise at some point this week I will get back to being completely blog devoted… Until then, thanks for putting up with my flakiness.

    That movie looks AWESOME!
  • oh yes, they both do!!
  • Well, here's a small world moment:

I went to school with brent for two years in NYC. We're great friends...although I think we might have hated each other in the beginning. One time I sent him Christmas cookies and he did a blog post on them. Because I forced him to.
  • haha that's crazy cool! I only met him the once, (actually i think twice) but he made an impression on me enough to make me a follower ! Im kinda jealous of you right now! I'm thinking I'm just gonna start sending him random shit so maybe I can at least get a mention as "the stalker" in a drunken ramble video or something...
  • Girl, when you come out of your foggy drunken hangover I know you'll remember it was I that posted the "reason I miss the 80's" video. My fave part is the push-ups! Plus, imagine if one of them was your dad, now how exactly would you explain that one to your friends?

Sounds like you had quite the weekend - kudos to you ;)
  • YES! Thank you so much for that video!!!!! It made my day in a major way. I have that image of the pushups burned in my brain. hahaha oh my, if one of those guys was my dad, i definitely wouldn't be explaining it to my friends... that's for sure!
  • I am v excited about Brothers.
  • CarissaJaded
Right? It looks amazing. I love both of those men with all of my heart!
  • meg
haha, that dance video is so great! I agree that the push ups are definitely the best part. Actually the extremely high kicking part was pretty great also. I might have to make it my November goal to learn that dance!
  • CarissaJaded
I am already on that... We should all learn that dance and make a collective video!
  • Pollypoptart
I was giggling aloud at your third paragraph, I know exactly how you feel!!!!
  • CarissaJaded
hehehe no comment if you're talking about what I think you are talking about!
  • Holy bejesus...I am in love with that video. Off to practice my high kicks.
  • CarissaJaded
    DO IT!
  • The Brental Floss videos are awesome, and that WTF Collective was HILARIOUS. I'm glad you're back.
  • CarissaJaded
Thanks! I'm not positive I'll be posting tomorrow, we shall see!
  • I only had a chance to look at a few, but they were great! LOVED the dancers in the first one...hilarious! Soooooo 80's!

Peeked at a few of the others....passed the Jim Carey movie preview onto
GayGuy/StraightGuy. I wonder if that'll be released in the States? I'm thinking NOT.

    Hope you've slept WELL!
  • CarissaJaded
I love their site! I think it actually is! I'm not sure when... but I have seen a little Award season chatter surrounding it? I'm keeping my fingers crossed!
  • LOL sounds like your weekend is a good one. A good weekend always leaves you dead on Monday :p

I can't wait to watch I Love You Phillip Morris too! Always love a good comedy =)
  • CarissaJaded
I'm still acting like it's my weekend! I have a problem... LOVE JIM CARREY!
  • notmattv
AWESOME!! Sweet internets video! Although, I have to warn you that... mark my words... the internet is just a fad! Anyway, Thanks for the shout-out!

Brent was just in town this weekend. He only stayed two days and we had some drinks. Next time we will call you up to par-tay!

    (Who is "justme"?)
  • CarissaJaded
Matt I miss you so much! and always!

Yeah you better! and call me before that you stranger! (all i know is she has an awesome blog!)
  • the push-up part was hilarious.

but... was... was that Alan Thicke from Growing Pains as the host?!
  • CarissaJaded
umm yeah! how awesome was that!!! I wonder how much he got paid for that gig!?
  • I kind of want to hump my computer. No real reason. Just because I do.
  • CarissaJaded
I did it... it feels so good it can't be wrong!
  • CandiceW
Blog-vacation days are absolutely acceptable. I want to hear tales of debauchery.
  • CarissaJaded
I'll have to email you those... and i totally will!
  • PJ
It must be nice to be young, overindulge and STILL be able to function! I vaguely remember those days...like a gray haze. You did a good job posting. You get respect for that!

Can't wait, can't wait, can't wait to see the Toby/Jake movie! And I have to wait until it comes out on DVD...so hurry up already!
  • becky
I know I want to see that Natalie Portman, Tobey Maguire and Jake G movie too! with all those actors and right timing they must be going for Oscars
  • Gab
Anybody go see "Brothers"? I checked it out, and have to say that it was one of the best films I've seen in a long time. Child actors are sometimes awkward in these movies, but Bailee Madison was stunning. Jim Sheridan tends to do well with children in his movies. Awesome film.
  • My roomies saw it yesterday and really liked it but thought it was a little depressing. I really want to see up in the air and the Brothers... Thanks for stopping by!
  • 911er
Is there a three-some in Brothers?? The poster/billboard makes you assume ...
