Because if I could I would go back to 9:00 last night and see something else, anything else, besides the shit fest that was The Time Traveler’s Wife. But More on that later.
Actually that’s not true. My first stop would most definitely be 40 years ago today, to the most memorable yet forgettable (you know, bc of all the drugs) little concert that almost wasn’t. Yes my friends. I would be camping out about to have my face melted off at Woodstock. Ah, I wish this is something I could actually be nostalgic about.
I guess I have to just take solace in the fact that I can at least get the partial experience in a few weeks with Ang Lee’s new flick, Taking Woodstock. Demetri Martin (my favorite comedian ever) plays a gay boy, coming into his manhood, who somehow manages to save Woodstock. I don’t know how Demetri landed this role (or where Ang Lee’s obsession with gays comes from,) but I’m taking it, and loving it… Opens Aug 28th in a theater near you.
